The Annual National YST Exhibition has become a highlight in the secondary school calendar, showcasing scientific and technological projects researched by 190 secondary school students under the mentorship of their teachers. This year the event was held in Dar-es-Salaam from 31st July – 1st August 2019.

The Charcoal Alternative Champion showing Managing Director of Shell Tanzania Mr. Marc den Hartog the displayed alternative charcoal which he produce and the special stoves for the charcoal seen in the picture during the exhibition at the Stakeholders Roundtable event. Stakeholders from different sectors have commended efforts made by Shell Tanzania for promoting and pioneering environmental conservation and use of alternative energy as ways of mitigating effects of climate change in the country.

For this reason, Shell Tanzania supports YST exhibitions and competitions because Tanzania needs more scientists to lift the economy of the country to the higher levels. Shell Tanzania is one of the major sponsors of YST event.
